Welcome to all our new members
The Phoenix and Parkgate Angling Club committee wish to offer a welcome to all new members to the club and hope that everyone enjoys their time fishing with us. We try to offer something for everyone including a full list of species from roach to barbel and a variety of venues from ponds through to the canal and river Don. Hopefully something to keep even the keenest angler occupied.
And if you enjoy match fishing our match calendar is one of the busiest around. Throughout the year we have a series of Saturday matches, both at Ravenfield ,on the river and the canal. The club contributes to the winnings for each match and runs an Angler of the Year competition, again giving prizes for the top 20 anglers. In addition we have a Tuesday evening series during the summer at the ponds and a Saturday Winter League when it gets cold.
We try to keep our rules simple and easy to understand and would ask you to read and follow them. We are particularly keen on litter and barbless hooks and one angler lost his permit last year for breaking these rules.
