'Lads and Dads' a huge success.
The 'Lads and Dads' day held at the ponds in August proved to be a huge success, according to all those that took part.
On the day 16 youngster's each fished together with an adult, with the joint weight counting.
Kyle Wilkinson and Harry Booth had the best total weight with a predominantly bream catch weighing 14lbs 2ozs. Arron and Mark Calley were next with a total of 9lbs 14ozs, a catch that inlcuded a bream of 2lbs 2.5ozs which gave Arron the prize for the biggest fish. Andrew and Dave Careless were third with 9lbs 6ozs beating Tom and Don Senior who weighed 8lbs 0.5ozs.
The Club would like to thank Tigra Tackle, Wickersley Angling Centre, Parkgate Angling Centre, Mark Glossop and Maurice Curtis for their kind sponsorship and providing each child with a prize.
