More crucians arrive

Our application to receive additional crucian stock as part of the National Crucian Conservation Project has been successful recognising the effort the Club has put in to preserve the future of this endangered species.

Some 5000 0ne year old fish were delivered to the Park by Environment Agency Fisheries Officers from their fish rearing facility at Calverton near Nottingham and the bulk of these were placed in the Kingfisher Pond with others being stocked into both of our two stock ponds.

The photo below shows Ken Wydell and Dr Jerome Masters putting fish into the Kingfisher Pond.
