Kingfisher project is not alone

Our efforts to produce a water capable of providing some excellent crucian carp, tench and rudd fishing in the Kingfisher Pond are taking shape. The Pond is now looking like a fishery rather than a building site and already fry have been seen in the margins. Just which species they are remains to be seen but on the 29C day that the above picture was taken crucians were seen apparently spawning in the margins.

We are also signing  up to the National Crucian Conservation Project and have asked the Environment Agency if our efforts can be rewarded with some fish bred at Calverton. We should know the outcome by the end of the month.

And we’re not alone in our efforts, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAWOzJ6SF-0&feature=youtu.be
