cormorant sighting on Kilnhurst canal 1335 hours Nov 8th 2011

    hello there I would like to report a cormorant sighting , i was walking the dog this afternoon saw a big black b****r fishing away calm as you please on peg 50 , only flew off when i clapped my hands it then landed up in the twenties . Not good news if it goes and tells it's mates . Been having good sport on the canal and river this season would hate to see it spoiled! Bill

    Hi Bill, iv seen it on canal as well, also seen them on don at asda when fishing, Had some good bags of silvers myself this season all over don, hope it stays that way pal. Alex

    They're everywhere, but not as many as there used to be. We have a licence to shoot at Ravenfield but can't get one for the Don or canal 'cos of public access.

    Why not report it on the Angling Trust website Cormorant Watch.
