Bakers Pond - advice

    Will be fishing Bakers Pond next week. Not fished it before. Any tips on bait, pegs, methods etc woudl be really appreciated.

    Don't worry about pegs, there are no 'best pegs'. Nos 3-8 are the deepest, high 20's the shallowest, good in summer but cr.p in winter.

    Pole is the favourite but feeder and waggler do work. Make life easy and fish next to the pads. All baits work, maggots, pinkies (good now), casters, chopped worm, pellets (when it's a bit warmer but you can get bites even now) etc.

    Roach are probably the best quarry now with odd skimmers/perch. Rudd have hibernated as have most of the tench and crucians.
