It was initially our intention that rules wouldn’t be put in place on the Ravenfield Ponds forum but as activity increases we feel there is a need in order to ensure that a pleasurable experience is enjoyed by all. These rules only cover basic common courtesy and social standards so no user should find them restricting when discussing the fishery or angling in general.

General Rules

• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
• Advertising and spamming is not allowed. This includes using the forum, profile posts, picture comments and private message system to spam other members.
• We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or of any nature that we deem to be inappropriate.
• Discussions promoting illegal activities are not allowed.
• Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. In the event of a problem with your account please contact us via the form on this website.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
• Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure this forum and all members are not abused in any way.
• We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to forum is a privilege and not a right. A banned member is still entitled to fish at Ravenfield Ponds.
• Discussions must be posted in the relevant category, if no category seems relevant then general chat must be used.
• Images embedded from Flickr are allowed providing they do not contravene any of the rules states above.
• Videos embedded from YouTube are allowed providing they do not contravene any of the rules states above.

Links in signatures must follow these guidelines

• Linking to a commercial product/service is fine, provided it is not a fishery.
• A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) is allowed, provided the site is not of a sexual nature or of a nature that we deem inappropriate.
• Duplicate links to the same URL in a signature are not allowed.

Avatars

• Animated avatars are not allowed.
• Avatars that are of a sexual nature or deemed by us to be inappropriate are not allowed.
