Feeder fishing in the Gt. Pond with Alan Banks
Groundbait. Super Match, Super Cup and a small amount of Secret mixed well and riddled to remove any lumps.
Line. 4lbs reel line with a 2lbs hook length which can vary from 6 inches to 3ft.
Hook Sizes. These vary depending on bait. In winter when using small baits I go for a size 22 whilst in summer will use 20s, 18s or even 16s.
Bait. Summer, casters, worms, maggots, corn or pellets. Winter, pinkies, squatts.
Method. Use an open ended feeder, the weight and size will depend on conditions, but sufficiently large to hit the target comfortably whilst being as light as possible. fish up to the cages, using a line clip, to prevent getting fast on them. Most methods for connecting the feeder to the line will work.
